Dev c++ Return value problem

I am using win 7 so i have installed dev c++ software for c programming. Its working fine But output window get closed when i am returning any value.. guys help me out..

if i use getch(); it works but its not working when i am trying to return any value

Best GATE Computer Science 2012 resources,esp. correspondence courses from institutes

Hi all ! :D

I want to give GATE 2012 in Computer Science.

I have a few questions:

1. Is joining a coaching institute necessary ? All my friends have joined a coaching institute (about 4 months before). I feel much more comfortable and 'productive' studying on my own. But still its hard to decide. Also, I feel as now very little time is left, I would only be wasting my time in coaching institutes.

2. Which correspondence course/books shall I get (considering the fact that I will be studying on my own). I have heard that materials of Made-Easy and Brilliant (I read somewhere that its very big, will I be able to complete it ?) is good, but I am not able to decide between them. Also, I understand I can read the UG textbooks, but I don't think I have time left for that, as I didn't make any notes and would now have to read them cover to cover. So I want material that would cover most of the things and preferably has many questions.
Also, my friends tell me that these materials have a lot of errors (including the book by GK publication), and as I will be studying on my own, I will not have much guidance in this regard and will face much trouble if that is indeed the case.

Please suggest me some resources considering these things.

hey guys, I'm not that good in programming, can you help me to answer this?


1. Write a program to list the numbers from 0-25, their squares, 3rd power, and 4th power.

2. Write a program that reads in a number N and then outputs the sum from 1 to N.
if the input is 3, the output should be 14 because 1^2+2^2+3^2=1+4+9=14


I need it right, please for those expert on this kindly attache the source code.

This is a really killer zombie book for the people who dig zombie movies I picked it up a few days ago and already sped through the 350 pages

I usually don't read a lot, but this got my attention like the DaVinci Code did a few years back

Not the jungle book...its just called The Jungle.
If you are thinking about being a vegitarian and need some convincing...read this book.
It's all about making hot dogs, and processing meat.
It is a huge eye opener, and really quite gross.

any of you seen this? what did you think?

its a foreign film about children and one of them is a vampire... sounds lame but the plot is awesome. i think it was unique and beautifully done and everyone must watch!
