Getting good reliable and cost effective internet in MUMBAI is very difficult .Out of other ISP's i have checked Tikona is having one of the most user friendly plans i am using unlimited plan with excellent technical support what else you expect from any ISP !!!! .
I am very pleased with their plans , and technical support they provide .

Marketing Calls Regarding Beam?

Surely Beam isn't the only entity which has the phone number you're being called on... and even if they are, these telemarketing firms have a habit of knowing where to buy information from all over the place - legally or not, and whether you're on the DNC list or not, and they have a tendency to have most or all of the information registered to that number (names, addresses, everything). I get spam on my Vodafone India number even though NOBODY has that number except my Mrs and co-directors of Hayai.

I think the calls are not being appropriated or requested by Beam... after all, if you're a customer of theirs, they know what plan you're on and how much you're paying.

I even received a letter from Tatasky regarding the privileged customer program about 1.5 months back,have been using Tatasky since the time of launch and subscribe to mega pack.Recently was facing signal issues and the engineer visit was not charged :thumbup: .

Avoid consumermate website

Many of u might have seen the new consumermate website. I also thought of it as good and as an alternative to compareindia, moreover it is of the same company which publishes digit magazine.
But unfortunately the site is really bad, it does not show market prices but they just copy paste the mrp. But the most important reason is that their website is not up to date. I was recently searching for some LCD tv's when to my horror i saw extremely old models of certain brands.

Compare India still out paces others by leaps and bounds.

Weird issue with Internet

Its Tata Photon + . May be I would be having some different problem. When I tried checking with speedtest, only Download worked and gt error while upload. May be that can be the reason. Heavy Rain in Andheri West would have disturbed the signals :p
